  7. NDP C/C++ 860 has been specially designed and extended to take advantage of all
  8. of the capabilities of the i860 microprocessor. It is compatible with
  9. Microway's prior NDP-386 and NDP-486 compilers. NDP C/C++ 860 is hosted on UNIX
  10. and DOS and can be run native on the i860 or cross on an 80386 or 80486. It
  11. includes proprietary COFF-based tool set: an i860 assembler, linker, librarian,
  12. and loader. NDP C/C++ 860 has graphics extensions that make it easy to
  13. recompile both PC and mainframe programs for the i860
  14.  
  15. Programs which are developed with NDP C/C++ 860 run on XTEND-860, a Microway
  16. Monitor which provides i860 runtime support and interfaces to UNIX, DOS, OS/2,
  17. or Windows NT. The runtime support includes lower-level support of the link
  18. adapters of the Number Smasher-860, which makes it possible to drive the
  19. T800/34010 powered Microway Videoputer directly from the board
  20.  
  21. NDP C/C++ 860 is a full AT&T V.2.1 compatible compiler, not a preprocessor. It
  22. generates the same quality code as the other NDP-860 compilers because all
  23. utilize a common global optimizer and code generator.
